The Glasgow University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Students’ Association is a social and welfare organisation for university students and staff in the Glasgow area.

We organise social events throughout the semester, ranging from pub crawls and dances to debates and guest speakers. We also have weekly drop-ins on Mondays and smaller men’s and women’s events.

Matthew Parris ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/matthew_parris/article2141330.ece ) writes that since all the significant gay rights battles in the UK have been won, he has become a post-homosexualist . Will Young ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article2155454.ece), on the other hand, also writing in The Times, thinks there is still much to fight for. In tonight's lively debate, guest speakers and some of our members will make the case for and against gay pride. Is it time to stop fighting and start living, or is it essential that we make our presence felt?
