Highland Rainbow Folk are a local storytelling group of volunteers and, with the support of Highland Council, LGBT History Month Scotland and Eden Court Theatre, are hosting an event with short films, stories and discussion.
The first short film, If These Walls Could Talk 2, stars Vanessa Redgrave and takes a look at a relationship between two women in 1961, telling the story of what happens when one of them dies.
The second film, Communication, is a powerful story about a young Jewish man’s struggle with a religion that doesn’t accept him, a sexual awakening that disturbs him, and memories of time spent with a teacher – Andrew – a much older man who may have held the key to his happiness.
The third and final film, Across the Hall, explores the tensions between neighbours, one of whom is transgender, trying to find their place in the community.
There will be a chance to discuss these excellent films and the group will present some stories. Don’t miss this opportunity – join the Highland Rainbow Folk for what promises to be both an enjoyable and thought provoking evening!
