Glasgow & Clyde Valley

What was life like for lesbian and bisexual women in Soviet Russia? How have public images of homosexuality changed in post-communist Poland? Does geographic location matter, when sexuality and gender are concerned? How do the stories of women from Eastern Europe differ from those of Scottish women?

To find out more and share your thoughts, join us at the Glasgow Women’s Library on Wednesday, 15th February at 5.30 pm. The event is open to all interested in the subject regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background and political views..

The evening will feature talks by Francesca Stella and Elwira Grossman, followed by discussion and refreshments. The event is co-organised by LGBT History Month, the AHRC knowledge exchange initiative Translating Russian and East European Cultures and the Centre for Russian, Central and East European Studies, University of Glasgow.
