Are you a budding photographer? Can you make a picture say a thousand words? Enter our photography competition, Our Lives through the Lens.

The aim is to capture the spirit of LGBT history. How you do that is up to you! You might want to represent the history of your LGBT community. You might decide to document a History Month event you’re attending. Or you could submit a photo that reflects your personal history as an LGBT person or supporter. So grab your camera and show us what LGBT history means to you!

Our competition hasn’t opened yet, but we’ll be displaying your submitted photos throughout the year on our website, so you can start sending in entries anytime! We’ll update this page with more details of prizes to be won.

To enter, just email your name and photo with a brief description to this address:

lgbtphotocompetition@gmail.com

…with the subject line ‘LGBT Photo Competition’. You can also send us a link to the photograph on your Flickr page. All photographs must be your own work. Allsorts youth group will be judging the competition.

This project has been made possible by a donation from Dundee City Council.
