Clothing Customisation Workshop @ queer timɘs school
A creative workshop for people aged 13-25.
As part of the queer timɘs school prints exhibition (1 December 2018 – 10 March 2019) GoMA would like LGBTPQI+ People and Allies from across the country to come and join us for a discussion on Queer fashion trends and the importance of self-expression to LGBTPQI+ people. Discuss how queer people have historically used alternative fashion to resist hetero/cisnormative trends and create their own spaces and movements.
Bring your own jackets, jeans and other clothing items and queer them up with paint, patches and pins as you create your own path to queer fabulosity. Bring your own clothing/patches/badges. Paints and other consumable materials will be provided.
Meet in Gallery 3 at GoMA for a brief exhibition tour prior to the workshop in the top floor studio.
