She wrote six historical novels, many set in Scotland, including the witty and atmospheric lesbian mystery, Death Wore a Diadem. Bob Orr and Sigrid Nielsen, LGBT booksellers and founders of Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive, want to collect and preserve her novels and other LGBT books, especially from Scotland, which are in danger of disappearing. They celebrate Iona’s life and work for LGBT History Month in an illustrated talk.
We look forward to welcoming you to our event!
Currie Library wants to ensure our events are as safe as possible. Please note we will be asking all participants to remain masked unless exempt, and that some windows will be open to aid air flow- so you may want to wear something a little warmer. We will be ensuring social distancing is maintained between groups, and would encourage participants to take a lateral flow test before they attend.
FREE. Book here.
